My Farm Journal

Some delightful¬† goodies got delivered to Out To Pasture the other day-my new journal, a “few” markers, and a lovely coloring book. Yep, a coloring book full of the most incredible nature designs. It is Animal Kingdom, Color Me,Draw Me by Millie Marotta. It is chock full of intricate Zentangle-like drawings ready to be copied and colored and, in my case, cut out and pasted into my journal.

Adults should color. It is just good for your soul, and is a great stress buster. I colored this bunny with Sharpie Markers and Prisma pencils. The collage background is composed of scrap book paper scraps, gesso, a rubber stamp and spray on inks.

I recommend keeping a journal whether it is written, painted, drawn or a combination of all. In this case, I haven’t made much art lately, and I thought I would combine starting a journal with starting our new blog. It’s kind of a circle sort of thing: I homestead, I blog about homesteading-I make pictures, I blog about my pictures. Blogging helps keep us on track to try all the new things that we want to try on the Homestead, so we can share them with you, so I have something to add to my journal! Enough of the talking in circles-go journal about something today!

Here are some links to my new toys ( I will share that we are affiliated with certain manufacturers, and receive some compensation if you click through our blog.):
